GLUTATHIONE, FROM THREE DIRECTIONS

Glutathione is the body's principal endogenous antioxidant, and the liver is where most of it is made and used. This formula approaches it three ways at once. Setria glutathione supplies it directly at 200 mg. N-acetyl cysteine at 1,000 mg supplies cysteine, the amino acid the body builds glutathione from and the step that limits how much it can make. BroccoPhane broccoli sprout extract is a source of sulforaphane, which supports the body's own antioxidant pathways. Supplying a compound, its precursor and the machinery that makes it is a different proposition from supplying any one of them.

SILYMARIN AT A REAL DOSE

Milk thistle is the ingredient everyone knows, and the one most often included at an amount that does nothing. Here it is 1,000 mg standardised to a minimum 80% silymarin — the flavonolignan complex the research is actually conducted on. Standardisation is the difference between a known quantity of active compound and a gram of powdered herb.

TUDCA, INCLUDED PROPERLY

Tauroursodeoxycholic acid is a bile acid included to support healthy bile flow. It is expensive, which is why it is normally sold as a standalone product and why formulas that do include it tend to include a token amount. There are 250 mg of it here.

AND THE ABSORPTION

AstraGin, a combination of astragalus and Panax notoginseng, is included to support the uptake of everything above it on the panel. It is a small ingredient whose job is to make the large ones work harder — the same reasoning behind the Bioperine in Curcumin and Citrus Bergamot.

A DAILY FOUNDATION
